| Explaination | Last Mile Education Fund offers financial assistance to college students at 2- and 4-year institutions across the country who are in technology & engineering pathways. Students at CCBC are eligible for these funds. Members of my staff promote our financial assistance offerings by engaging faculty and students directly. Last Mile Education Fund does not seek to have agreements with colleges nor do not I directly benefit financially from CCBC students receiving our assistance. The real-time insights and experience I have in my current position will make me an effective CCBC trustee. I do not believe that my employment will present a conflict, but want to disclose the nature of my employment, as I wish to serve CCBC and the Governor to the highest ethical standard. Of course, in the unlikely event that any matter come before the board that would affect Last Mile Education Fund, I would recuse myself. |
