| Explaination | The Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP) provides the opportunity for individuals incarcerated in two Maryland state prisons to pursue a bachelor's degree in American studies from Goucher College. I am the director of operations and prison affairs for GPEP, meaning I oversee all of our day-to-day operations in both prisons and am the primary liaison between the college and DPSCS.
Senate Bill 623 requires that the Prison Education Delivery Reform Commission includes a representative from the Goucher Prison Education Partnership; I am serving as that representative. I also personally believe it is imperative that an individual like myself, with significant higher education in prison implementation experience, be represented in this commission. |
