| Explaination | In an abundance of caution I make this disclosure/request even though my legal representation described herein would be exempt as a matter of law or will not conflict with my voluntary service on the Maryland Licensing Workgroup which is advisory only and requires both consumer protection and finance industry advocates as members. I represent my brothers in a foreclosure case. One of their several defenses is that the mortgage note holder seeking foreclosure was not licensed as required by Maryland law when steps to foreclose were taken. To the extent required, I request an exemption from any actual or potential conflict of interest so that I may continue my consumer protection representation of my brothers and also contribute my financial expertise to the study on Maryland licensing.
