| Explaination | Without exemption, my employment for a PSAP that directly receives money from the 9-1-1 Board may be seen as a conflict of interest. The appearance of conflict would stem from the fact that projects approved by the board do directly impact the staff with whom I work, including trainings, equipment, and technology.
Though my role as a social worker renders many of the Board's decisions outside my professional purview, I am resolute in my recusal from all projects submitted by my employer, and defer to all statutes and regulations as defined by the board of ethics. |
