| Explaination | I am not on salary with any of these entities. However, my expenses are reimbursed based on the business travel incurring for conferences or related travel expense.. I travel to conferences to learn about the updates on technologies. The Blockchain Legal Institute is a library of resources. The creation of this library has resulted in my expertise in this area that supports my being on the Task Force. My inclusion directly fulfills the task force statutory mandate to bring specialized industry expertise (e.g., emerging technologies, distributed ledger systems, digital assets, workforce development). My outside roles are the reason I bring value to the body. Hence the need for an exemption.
I will voluntarily recuse myself from any specific matter, formal recommendation, or vote that directly impacts any personal financial interests, even though I do not anticipate that occurring. Neither I nor the organizations listed above seek direct procurement contracts, proprietary commercial advantage, or exclusive state vendor status through this appointment. |
